Information about the Cybersecurity market in the selected countries for this operation:

Spain

Spain is one of the countries in the world that suffers most from computer attacks, with almost one in three Spaniards being a victim of cyber attacks. This is why in 2021, figures indicate that 37% of Spanish companies will implement mechanisms to manage device and user identity, 36% will work on data privacy and 35% on cyber security awareness.

Romania

Romania is one of the priority countries in the cybersecurity market: interest in cyber solutions has risen sharply since the health crisis and the advent of home office, and is amplified by the new regional security context. Romanian companies are highly aware of this issue: 62% of them consider cybersecurity as a priority and this proportion rises to 76% for companies with more than 250 employees. Main targets of attacks: banking sector, commercial sector, public services. In recent years, the budget allocated to cybersecurity solutions has been 15% of the total IT budget, but this percentage is expected to increase. From an institutional point of view, Romania is a leading country in the field of cybersecurity as the capital Bucharest has been designated as the seat of the European Cyber Security Competence Centre (ECCC).  The Romanian ecosystem is primarily looking for French solutions in the following application sectors: Healthcare, Hospital Infrastructure, SOC (Security Operating Centers), Mobile Security (in line with the democratisation of 5G) and Compliance and Data Loss Prevention.

Poland

The Polish cybersecurity market is expected to exceed PLN 2bn in 2022.

The Frequency of cyber attacks has risen by 46% in 2021 in the corporate sector with more than 600 attacks/week.

The National Cybersecurity Strategy of the Republic of Poland (2019-2024) defines 4 priority areas for cyber protection:

- identity (one of the main targets of phishing attacks)
- data
- applications
- infrastructure

The areas of greatest need are:

- protection against ransomware
- cloud protection
- machine learning
- backup and disaster recovery
- training and cyber education.

Finland

The size of the Finnish cybersecurity market was estimated at EUR 727 million in 2019, and is expected to reach EUR 1.1 billion by 2025. Finnish cybersecurity players are in a dedicated cluster: Finnish Information Security Cluster (FISC).

In order to counter cyber threats, a "security committee" has been created within the Finnish Cybersecurity Centre, under the leadership of the Ministry of Transport and Communication (TRAFICOM). Due to its geographical location, Finland, supported by NATO, invests heavily in cyber defence to protect its cyberspace. Since 2017, Helsinki has been home to the Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats. A cyber security research centre is based in Oulu, co-managed by Finland and the United States.

Sweden

In connection with the war in Ukraine and the increase in cyber attacks (+300% since 2018), Sweden plans to spend €1.1 billion on IT and cybersecurity in 2023. Both private and public players are announcing an increase in their investments, with multiple needs. Over the period 2023-2027, the Swedish market is expected to grow by 11.7%. These investments will be complemented by the expenses related to the preparation of Sweden's membership in NATO.
